The brutal reality experienced by hundreds of nameless African workers in the fields of Italy is disclosed through this sensible collage of moving and still, black and white images. The territory, which the young filmmaker Volpe measures in this poetic work, is equally the origine of comforting childhood memories, supposed hoard of the future and hole of despair. Coming to terms with the contrast between entrenchment and loneliness at a strange place, Volpe explores impressions of the life of „the other“ that quickly gets entangled with his own.
