Generation ’68 is an homage to the generation with which the author shares his youthful enthusiasm and the idea of a revolution that will change the world, being both realistic and demanding the impossible. At the same time, he questions the true impact of these changes on a social and, above all, personal level. Having ideas is easy; making them credible to the generations that follow is somewhat more difficult. Discarding the ideals of 1968 as unattainable, the new generations are coming up with ideals of their own, ones that are perhaps even more unrealistic…


Nenad Puhovski, was born in 1949 in Zagreb, and is one of the pivotal persons in the development of modern Croatian documentary film. He is the author and producer of awarded films and director of the biggest regional documentary film festival, ZagrebDox. As a stage, film and TV director, he has directed over 250 productions. He has received a number of Croatian and international awards. For his work on documentary film, particularly for launching and managing ZagrebDox, he received in 2009 the European Documentary Network (EDN) Award and Medal of the City of Zagreb.
