Bent antennas, rusted satellite dishes, empty houses. In an unknown place, futuristic ruins overlap with the story of an indigenous saga: In Columbia of the 20th Century, resistance fighter Yarokamena, a member of the Uitoto tribe, called for rebellion against violent exploitation of the rubber mining industry and invoked the spiritual powers of war.

Long banned for its potential for resistance, YAROKAMENA has the saga retold by Gerardo Sueche Cañube, a Uitoto council member, bringing the rebellious spirits of the past into the present. A production that calls for narratives and visions beyond colonial knowledge and history production.
