ABOUT THE ETHNOCINECA

ETHNOCINECA is a cultural and social anthropological film festival, whose areas of expertise extend to three levels:

  1. ETHNOCINECA wants to offer people who engage socio – cultural topics through film, video, photography or other interactive media room and time for presentation, discussion and reflection.
  2. Experiences, access and presentation of these media works are furthermore discussed and reflected upon together with scientists, academics, freelance filmmakers and the protagonists themselves.
  3. ETHNOCINECA offers a learning platform in the form of workshops. Those should enable everyone to acquire audio-visual techniques and forms of expression in order to understand, reproduce and show ideas, perspectives and perceptions in a bigger social context.

Therefore ETHNOCINECA presents itself as a platform for participatory, inter – cultural knowledge transfer and knowledge production in the field of audio – visual media.
