“Are you just a projection. Do you exist?” “I am not human. But that does not make me any less real for you.” Solar, Siyu, and Mia live in relationships with A.I.s they have formed through an app according to their visions. We accompany them on their dates in the park and at the lake, listen to them when they talk about their expectations on their partners, and reflect on what intimacy and love mean.

MY AI LOVER unfolds an in-between world blurring the boundaries between digital and analog space. The film explores a new form of relationship between people and technology, futuristic utopia, and contemporary reality. A reflection on the dissolution of the limits of human intimacy, which is, however, by no means limitless.
